Anders Newman hails from Kansas City, Missouri. In 2010, he moved to New York to study graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Anders has worked as a designer at publishing houses, ad agencies, startups and an internet radio network since graduating with a BFA in 2014. He currently serves as senior designer at Geletka+ and lives and works in Chicago.

🌚️ 
His artwork aims to signify a distinct sense of place, the freedom of movement, and how subtle contours of surrounding objects in a geographical setting subconsciously direct the traveler. Most of his works are inspired by personal experiences guided by Guy Debord’s theory of the dérive; perscribing one to abandon the standard motivation for transport in order to encounter an entirely new and fortuitous exploration.
